La serie de RuPaul’s Drag Race y Cheer han conseguido cinco nominaciones en los premios dedicados a reconocer la programación de no ficción de Estados Unidos.
Madrid, 8 de junio (ElDiario.es).- RuPaul’s Drag Race se ha convertido junto a Cheer de Netflix en las dos favoritas de la segunda edición de los Critics Choice Real TV Award. Ambos formatos han atesorado cinco nominaciones para estos galardones dedicados a premiar la programación de no ficción en Estados Unidos; en el caso de la franquicia de RuPaul, ha de añadir una candidatura más para su spin-off, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked!.
Queer Eye y Couples Therapy obtienen ambos tres candidaturas, siguiendo así de cerca a las dos anteriores. También destaca la presencia de El mundo según Jeff Goldblum, de Disney+, que disputa por el reconocimiento en dos categorías. Netflix domina en el cómputo global, con 31 nominaciones para sus producciones. A continuación, ABC, Bravo y VH1 reúnen cada una seis opciones.
A estos galardones, cuyas categorías desglosamos abajo y que serán elegidos por la crítica especializada (salvo los apartado de estrellas femenina y masculina del año, para el que se abre una votación popular), hay que sumar el reconocimiento especial para Jeff Probts, productor y presentador de Survivor, por su “contribución a la industria de no ficción en televisión”.
Los premios se darán a conocer el 29 de junio, a través de un comunicado de prensa especial, tal y como recoge The Hollywood Reporter.
